Bullguard is an interesting security choice with a variety of features that make it stand out from other antivirus software. It’s also one of the few that offers a large selection of subscription options (up to 15 devices on some plans) and a decent price tag.
BullGuard, unlike some other antivirus softwares, makes use of machine learning to detect threats and stop them before they cause serious damage. This is an amazing feature we’d like to see more providers provide. Additionally, the AV package includes a number of other security tools like the secure browser (which makes it difficult for snoopers track your online activity) and identity theft protection.
While the Anti-Virus package is a good choice for people looking for basic security, we would recommend upgrading to the Premium or Internet Security packages if you want more comprehensive security. These packages also include additional anti-malware and anti-virus features, as well as a parental control option for Android devices.
A “data leakage” tool is another feature that makes BullGuard stand out. It will notify users when it detects data like your passwords, address or other information being smuggled out on the internet. The UI is simple to use, however we’d love to see more help content for those not familiar with cybersecurity.
BullGuard provides 24/7 support via email, live chat (English Only) and a FAQ section. Users can also join the forum to discuss their issues with other users or with the company. The only thing not provided is phone support. This isn’t an issue for most users.
